I am out-of-network for all insurances due to my hospital leadership privileges and my commitment to provide flexible patient-driven care.
Please contact me directly for my current rates which are in range with other physicians in our community. In the silicon valley area, rates for psychiatric care tend to range between $250-$450 for 25 min follow up appointments. Rates are discounted for weekly psychotherapy visits.
If you have PPO plan (sometimes works for EPO), then you are probably eligible for reimbursement from your insurance plan for private pay services.
A superbill is a special type of receipt that is provided to a patient by a healthcare practitioner for submitting reimbursement claims to insurance companies. Superbills contain detailed information about the patient, the practitioner, and the visit.
Most health insurance companies allow a reimbursement claim to be filed up to one year after the date of your service.

Absolutely! I have been trained in a wide range of psychotherapy methods including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, exposure and response prevention, and psychodynamic psychotherapy.
While I integrate many of these methods into my therapy style, my current therapy work focuses more on deep emotional work with our unconscious forces and spirituality. The therapy relationship between you and me is often the tool we use to help you live a deeper and more engaged life.
The arrangement for talk therapy is usually 50min-80min sessions at an interval of 1-2 sessions per week. The duration of treatment is variable and dependent on the individuals situation and needs. I have seen some patients from 4 months and others for 5 years.

You can expect that we will meet every 2-4 weeks during the initial 3-6 months of treatment.
Once your medication regimen is stable, then we will meet every 1-2 months.
After 1 year of treatment, you can either continue to see me at 2 month intervals or have you primary care physician take over your refills.

I primarily care for adults and will also see some teenagers as young as 15. I cannot see patients enrolled in Medicare due to my hospital leadership priveleges.
